Use the Rest Timer to keep track of your recovery time in between sets. You can set a specific rest time for each exercise and RYSE will remember your settings the next time you log that exercise.

@jess.cawood We built a new workout rest timer for yall! If you enable it, it will start automatically when you mark an exercise set as complete ✅ I hope it helps you prioritize rest while also minimizing your time spent scrollin in the gym! #workout #gym #gymrats #weightlifting ♬ original sound - RYSE | Workout App

Automatic Rest Timer

By default the Rest Timer is disabled for each exercise. You can toggle on the rest timer as well as set the amount within the Rest Timer Drawer.

If toggled on for an exercise, the Rest Timer starts automatically when you complete a set using the checkbox.

Android Users

Toggle on the switch that says: Turn on rest timer notifications.

You will be prompted to Stop optimizing battery usage. You must tap Allow to enable RYSE to send rest timer notifications and alert sounds.

Android 12 and higher changed the way apps can trigger notifications and alarms. For the technical background you can read about it here: https://developer.android.com/about/versions/14/changes/schedule-exact-alarms

Full Screen Rest Timer

When the Rest Timer begins after marking a set as complete, it will open in full screen mode.

From here you can adjust the duration of the timer with the -/+10 buttons or end the timer immediately by tapping the Skip button.

Tap outside of the Rest Timer or tap the minimize button to view it in minimized mode.

Minimized Rest Timer

In minimized mode, you can use the app as you normally would and even navigate away from your current workout log.

You can move the minimized rest timer around your screen by grabbing the timer icon and dragging the timer to where you want it to stick.

To expand it into Full Screen mode, tap the timer numbers.

Rest Timer Notifications

When the rest timer is complete, you will get a push notification as well as an alert sound (turn your volume on)
