Here you will find a high level list of everything we released to RYSE during the week. This weekly list will include all new features, improvements, and bug fixes that we accomplished during the week.

  • New Workout Logging experience released!

    • Full redesign while maintaining all existing functionality

    • Progress indicators for entire workout and each exercise driven by checkboxes on sets

    • Swipeable drawers for quick access to exercise log

    • View entire exercise history and notes while logging

    • Sets are pre-populated by previous log

    • Long press or swipe for exercise and exercise set options

    • Exercise Stats tab displays PRs including Max, Est. One Rep Max, Max Volume, and Individual Rep Max PRs

    • View past workout posts while logging from History or Stats tabs - no more going to dashboard or profile during a workout

  • Fixed issue with exercises without weight entry were counted as highest previous max resulting in a few extra PRs - shoutout Queen Deb for the heads up!! Enjoy those extra PRs :P

  • Handle switching between phone/laptop when displaying workout streak updates

  • Habit Tracker! We overhauled the sleep/weight/water trackers and introduced customizable Habits! You can now create and track anything as a Habit. Just create the name and unit of measure and you are ready to track!

🛠 Improvements

  • New exercise filters added to the exercise search within the workout log

  • Added nicer looking RYSE splash screen on app reload

  • Use user selected primary/secondary colors on logging screens #fancy

  • Added app notification to get users to upgrade when app is behind latest version

🪳Bug Fixes

  • Fix bug with individual nutrient cards on dashboard that was not applying overridden/edited nutrient amounts in the calculations. Shoutout to @inspiredamongstthechaos for the help and heads up on this one

  • Quick Add calories were not being added to calorie nutrient card on the dashboard

  • Carry over last weeks goal for streak tracker

  • Fix spam fetch on dependent items

  • On blur was not firing on back button - thank you Cole for bringing this to our attention!

MAY 2 - MAY 8, 2022

🎉 New Features

  • Snapchat volume lens! Now when you complete a workout you have access to a RYSE exclusive lens that shows your total workout volume

🛠 Improvements

  • Exercise data structure overhaul. This is all behind the scenes stuff so not visible in the app but the restructure helps us prep for future features and enhancements to exercise tracking and creation.

APR 25 - MAY 1, 2022

🛠 Improvements

  • See post preview button added to log workout screen (it used to be kinda hidden)

  • Set public view of profiles/posts to dark mode

  • Behind the scenes library upgrades, misc code upgrades, etc

  • Remove formatting of large numbers on the volume display (was rounding up and impacting milestones/profile volume display)

  • Make RYSE Recap background color match on screen capture

APR 18 - APR 24, 2022

🎉 New Features

  • Image editor - crop, draw on, filter, etc any image on workout/recovery/meal posts directly in RYSE

  • Share Workout Summary to Snapchat as sticker with direct link to post

  • Weekly Streaks! Now you can set a workout streak for the week

APR 4 - APR 10, 2022

MAR 28 - APR 3, 2022

🎉 New Features

  • RYSE Recap!! Starting with this past March, we are now providing a monthly recap at the beginning of every month so you can view and share your wins from the prior month and set goals for the next one!

MAR 21 - MAR 27, 2022

🎉 New Features

  • Offline mode! Some gyms have notoriously bad internet connections or cell service, but now you can start and log your entire workout while offline. It will sync once you are back online and open the app again!

  • Recipe portions - shoutout to @inspiredamongstthechaos for the idea!

  • Show percentages for 1RM calculator

  • Add "See" to historical exercise cards so they seem more clickable

  • More relevant posing dice chances based on the muscles worked during your workout

MAR 14 - MAR 20, 2022

🎉 New Features

  • Roll-a-pose!! Not sure what picture to take after your workout? Or just want to put your fate in the hands of a dice roll? We have created virtual dice that contain a famous pose on each side. Some are bodybuilding poses and some are just for fun :) You can roll the dice (up to 3 times) and receive a pose to perform and attach to your workout post!

  • Added Shamrock confetti for St. Patrick's day only 🍀

MAR 7 - MAR 13, 2022

🛠 Improvements

  • Added Last 30 quick button to dashboard calendar instead of Month

  • Better caching of videos that are uploaded so won't have to refetch from backend

  • Better "loading" placeholders so screen doesn't jump around

  • Performance improvements while logging a workout that has a lot of exercises and sets

  • Added haptic feedback to pull down to refresh because Bryan is obsessed with haptic

    • Enabled as our 1st workout plan! 12 Days of Liftsmas Challenge!!

    • Plans are now available on Discovery Page

  • Add workout routine request form for users to submit workout routines to be made publicly available

  • Public app links. People can now view a peek at RYSE without creating account or downloading the app. We limit links to the feed and profiles to only show a few items and then Basil (our pup) will prompt the person to download and join RYSE whenever they scroll to the end or when actions are attempted (boost, comment, etc). Bonus Easter egg if you click on Basil a few times ;)

        Limit feed and profiles to only show a few items - Basil (our pup) will prompt you to download and join RYSE when scroll to end or when actions are taken
